Product Description
FUNCTION
ACTIRUST® is a ready-to-use eco-designed rust remover for iron, steel, cast-iron and chromated substrates. Compared to usual acid-based rust removers, it eliminates rust without any agressive behavior on the non oxidized areas.
It doesn’t require any neutralization or rinsing after use. Its composition combines rust removing active materials and corrosion inhibitors, to prevent immediate corrosion after the rust removing process.
Its food contact compliant composition allows it to be used on kitchen ustensils. As a non-classified product, it can be easily and safely used.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1) Pre-clean item if necessary to remove oil or other dirts ;
2) Completely immerse item into the ACTIRUST® ;
3) Continue soaking until all rust has been removed. Depending on the rusting degree, the necessary time to completely remove rust will be between 2h and 24H.
4) After complete rust removal, take the item out of the product and let it dry without any previous rinsing.
5) For longer protection during storage, a protective oil may be applied.
Remarks :
The ACTIRUST® can also be used diluted with water when the severity of rust is not important. It is recommended anyway to use it at minimum 25%.
The ACTIRUST® can be re-used several times. When the color of the product becomes darker, it is recommended to change it.
Shorter immersion times are obtained when the product is used at warmer temperatures.
